NEW EP OUT THIS SPRING

Sometimes a recording doesn’t start in a studio; it starts in a state of mind. In a moment where a song is nothing but voice, instrument, and truth. And sometimes, out of that kind of reduction, something new begins to grow.

For Martina Linn, The Sound Emporium Live Recordings begin exactly there: at the core of the Skinny Songs. In the original stripped-down versions she developed together with writer and musician Tim Krohn—close, vulnerable, and uncompromisingly honest.

With The Sound Emporium Live Recordings, these songs take the next step. For the first time, they were recorded with a full band. Live. Together. In one room. At the legendary Sound Emporium Studios in Nashville, new recordings were created that weren’t built piece by piece; they were played. Musicians listening to each other, reacting to each other, breathing together. The songs were allowed to grow without losing their intimacy.

Producer Dean Miller discovered Swiss artist Martina Linn through social media after hearing the original versions of the Skinny Songs. Shortly after, he invited her to Nashville to record these songs live together.

With this first international production, Martina Linn reaches a new audience while staying true to her musical identity.
